Interesting game development blogs to read
Good morning everyone!
Specially to the new people following our development blog. If you are new here, and you haven’t been reading our latest updates, let me give you five cents of what this blog is about. Here I share updates on the development of “3 Minutes To Midnight“. This means explaining how things are being done, giving you some advise so you don’t make the same mistakes we do, and sharing lessons learned during the process of creating this video game.
Some of you don’t know this, but barely a year ago I had nothing to do with game development, whatsoever. One year later, here I am, leading a team of 9 people trying to make the best point-and-click adventure game of 2019. So you can imagine, without any previous experience in creating videogames, I had to do, read, and learn a lot. Well, today, I wanted to share with you a small list of blogs I’m following. I think that you might find them interesting as well:
- Grumpy Gamer’s blog
- Critical Distance
- Aras Pranckevičius
- Simon Schreibt (one of my favourites)
- The International house of Mojo
- Emily Short’s Interactive Storytelling
- Cliff’s Blog
- Hand made hero
- Evan Todd
- Jeff Vogel – The Bottom Feeder
- Rampant Coyote
This week’s post is going to be short, as I’m really busy working on the script for the demo, which by the way we are going to have available really soon. This weekend is just about fixing it and trying to make it perfect. I also have to translate it into English (it’s written in Spanish), and make it ready for the voice actors. So, I hope you enjoy those lectures. If I have time this week, I’ll upload a post about “why we are doing a point-and-click adventure game”, that I’ve been working on for quite long now.
Jan out!
